State of Arkansas Department of Insurance Requirements
  • 8 hours of continuing education,including 1 hour of ethics, are required every year for licensees who hold only one type of license.
  • Those licensed in two lines of insurance are required to complete 10 hours of c.e., including 1 hour of ethics, annually.
  • As of January 1, 2004, one hour of ethics is required annually.
  • The license expiration date is the licensee's birthdate.
  • Exams must be monitored by a disinterested third party, and are CLOSED book finals.
  • Up to 10 credit hours may be carried forward to the next year.
  • As of May 2006 Provider reports rosters to the State. Corresponds with Appendix G/H and this reporting is done by first class mail.
  • Failure to comply results in a fine.
* To take final exam online
  • The CLOSED book Exam must be proctored by a disinterested third party
  • Proctor must be present during entire length of final exam
  • After completing and submitting exam online, a downloadable version of the Appendix G - Affidavit of Proctor form must be printed out from the computer which the exam was taken and signed by the proctor.

  • After Affidavit has been filled out and signed by proctor, please fax to 619-222-8593
  • Upon receipt of the Affidavit, you will be given access to print out the certificate of completion for the course that was succesfully completed.
  • Credits for completion of course will be submitted by roster via first class mail to appropriate state insurance department or credit processing firm.
